Adobe Creative Cloud - 1 too many

Postby RideForever » Sun May 05, 2019 7:13 pm

Running macOS Mojave v10.14.4 on iMac (27", late 2013) using 3.4GHz Intel Core i5 Processor and 8GB 16600 MHz DDR3 Memory.

Unit has been shut down for a few days while away. Restarted and during the opening, there is an Adobe Creative Cloud popup box indicating an issue (but not what it is) that can be repaired by clicking on Repair without further indicating how it is going to repair whatever needs to be repaired - it is all a mystery and one has to trust whatever is going to happen.

Before doing that though, I checked Storage under "About this Mac", then Manage. Not sure why, but I checked anyway.

I then went to Applications and noted that there existed two Adobe Creative Cloud ("ACC") applications. Next I did two things:
(1) selected Repair the result being that ACC started downloading which took about 45 minutes to download - what was the issue being repaired???
(2) selected the 2nd ACC application and selected Uninstall - for which there was a popup "Are you sure you want to uninstall ACC? You may repair the installation to resolve any issues." Two choices - Uninstall/Repair - I selected Uninstall since repair seems to be simply re-downloading ACC. The result was another popup "Couldn't uninstall Creative Cloud for desktop. You still have Creative Cloud applications installed on your computer that require it".

How can I get rid of this 2nd application of ACC which dates to January 2017?
