Apple Pay

My first guess would have been yes, because I believe the 5s has a thumbprint reading home button.

But according to this Apple web site:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204506

"Here's what you need:
Your iPhone SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and later"

which would suggest the 5s will not support Apple Pay. I believe this is due to the lack of the secure enclave chip inside. But apparently if you have an Apple Watch that you use with the 5s, then that can do Apple Pay.

Dave's answer is correct. Due to the lack of a Secure Enclave cache, the 5s cannot itself do Apple Pay -- but you can use it to add a card to your Apple Watch (which stores it independently). To use Apple Pay on an iPhone, you'll need an iPhone 6 or higher.
