Buying apple watch 11

Does anyone know, if when apple care is purchased, does it need to be where u reside ?
So i am heading to the states and a friends son works at apple. I am being offered 15% off (and California only has 8% tax. I will purchase the watch 11 and air pods pro 3.
Just wondering if ape care is necessary. When I contacted support , they said I could buy in the states or canada. When i researched the chat it said no. Clarity please. Thank you

AppleCare is AppleCare in North America. Your purchases, should you make them, will be under a US AppleCare 1-year warranty automatically. Incidentally, if the purchase is registered to a US address (like your friends' home), the hearing aid feature SHOULD work even when you are in Canada.

You should also have the opportunity to purchase AppleCare+ (which is now an indefinite warranty as long as you keep paying), which will work worldwide at Apple Authorized Service Providers.

Thank u Chas. I did buy AirPods Pro 3 (as well as watch 11) and did take the hearing test. Wohooo, I have good hearing What I love the most is taking photos by holding the stem of AP.
