Calendar on my mac won't respond!

When I open my calendar on my mac this is the message I get: The server responded with an error. I have to force quit to close it out, and I can't edit or use it at all really. If anyone has a solution I would sure appreciate the help to get it fixed!

This is usually the result of having subscribed to a calendar from an outside source (like a sports team, et al) and they've stopped updating it. Check your Calendar settings and remove any calendars that are being supplied from outside sources.
