Can't get movie app to display anything lately

We have an Apple TV box (HD version) attached to our Samsung TV. Besides watching stuff on Apple TV+ (which still works) and on Acorn TV (which also still works) on occasion we click on the "Movies" app and find a movie to rent. For the last two weeks or so, when we click on the "Movies" icon, it just goes to an almost blank screen (subtle cloud formations on the screen) with a spinning wheel and never loads beyond that. Not sure if this started with the latest update to the Apple TV system software or not. Does this seem familiar to anyone?

Well, I seem to be making a habit lately of posing a question before I think to go hunting on the internet for a solution. In this case, I couldn't find any directly related articles other than ones going back to about 2010. But my eye hit on a solution to a totally unrelated issue but it made me go "duh!" The suggestion was to unplug and repower the box and of course that worked. Very weird that the Apple TV app and the Acorn app both worked perfectly and it was only the Movies app that stopped working but I feel pretty stupid for not starting with the obvious step to fix this. All is fine again in our family room.
