"Forward To" email address

For some time now, I have been occasionally getting this dialog box when I go to send a new email:

I have no idea where to find my "Hide My Email settings" and don't know why this started appearing. I am talking about Apple Mail with iCloud.com. Mac.com or Me.com (all the same account of course) and am presently on the latest Tahoe (but I think this started before Tahoe).

I generally just click it away and carry on with no sign of adverse effects, but it makes me worry...

Thanks Chas,

This article led me to where the setting are for this feature, which was very helpful. In the past, I have set up a few of these special email addresses for companies from which I wanted a one time reply but didn't want to leave them with my real email address. But in viewing the list, I came across a number of my close friends, for whom I would never have used this feature. So I am not sure how or why their email addresses would have been given this treatment. I have deactivated those "phone" email addresses. However I see no reason why starting a fresh email to someone would trigger a dialog to update my forward to address (even before I have entered a "To" address). Hopefully by deactivating the ones that shouldn't be there, this problem will go away. At least now I know where to look.
