Guest User Login Missing

I have no idea how long this situation has gone on - I just noticed it today after starting up my iMac from completely powered down. I am on Big Sur 11.2.3

I have three user accounts (an admin account and 2 standard accounts) defined on my iMac as well as a guest account. When first faced with the login screen when powering up I see the 3 user accounts but no icon for logging into the guest account. Once logged in, if I log myself out, I go back to that login screen with only the three user accounts but no opportunity to login to to the guest account. Has anyone else noticed this with recent versions of macOS? I admit I haven't researched this issue myself - something I will attempt now...

I should have done an internet search first I guess. The solution was to go to System Preferences > Users & Groups and unlock the padlock at lower right. Then go into "Guest User" and UNcheck the box "Allow guests to log into this computer". Then lock the padlock again and log myself off the computer. Then go back in, repeat the steps but this time restore that checkmark beside "Allow guests to log into this computer" and relic the padlock. In other words, turn off the guest login and then turn it back on. Now the "Guest" icon shows up again on the login screen.
