Icons on desktop show Q not the picture anymore, bookmarks the same

So I see that the icons on my desktop, most of which are QT movies, now only have the Q icon and not the photo that was once there. Also I think the same has happened to the icons in bookmarks, now instead of a nice picture icon they are all the plain world looking circle. I can't figure out how to change them back. I am sure its simple but I can't seem to explain it well enough to find anything that I can figure out on the web. Running Monterey now upgraded a couple weeks ago but I am pretty sure it was ok post upgrade. My guess is the kid was experimenting again and changed something. Thanks All Donna
