iPad Air 2 with Magic Mouse

A friend gave me a keyboard to use with the iPad; connects via Bluetooth. However, while it recognizes the keyboard it does not recognize the mouse and there is nothing in Settings to indicate a mouse is usable. Is this a feature only on later iPad versions? I ask as an instructor for the PhotoPills app was using one with an iPad.

Trackpad/mouse support for iPads came in with iPadOS 13.4. Presuming you're running a later version than that, you may need to UN-pair the mouse from a previous device and/or then put the mouse back in pairing/discovery mode before the iPad will be able to "see" and pair with it.
