iPad problem

My iPad quit changing from landscape to portrait 2-3 days ago. Is this a setting or equipment problem?

I am not an iPad user, so take this for what it is worth until a real iPad user answers. But it may be the same as on an iPhone. If you can go into Control Centre by swiping down from top right corner and then look for the orientation lock icon which is a padlock with an arrow circling it. Try tapping on that - it will likely change from colour to plain (I hope).
