Iphone contacts have strangers pictures inserted

A friend with an iphone 10 has had numerous contacts have the same unknown picture inserted. For no known reason, several of his contacts now have a photo of someone unknown, always the same photo. I cannot find anything about it online. Otherwise his phone seems normal. Anyone?

These might be contacts connected to Facebook or Twitter where the picture is changed by either the user or the service. If not, your friend can edit the contact card to put any photo they want in there.

The odd thing is, a number of contacts have the exact same photo inserted through some unknown influence. He is changing them back to individual photos as he discovers them.
