Macbook Air Disk Space

I am trying to open up enough disk space on my MacBook Air so I can install Big Sur on it. I have run CleanMyMac, deleted all but around 600 photos, and deleted nearly all of my Apple Music albums but none of this made much difference. I have iCloud Drive and Optimize Mac Storage checked in the iCloud System settings.

Here is what things look like. The Other (grey area) is taking up 51.43 GB.

What is frustrating me is that no matter what I do the Other storage doesn't seem to go down. In fact, it has gone up from around 47 BG to 51 GB. Does anyone know how I can free up more disk space.

I figured it out, sort of. I had downloaded a bunch of GarageBand sound files that were taking up a lot of disk space. Once I removed them I had enough space to install Big Sur. Yay!
