MacBook to just iPad

My MacBook Air is needing replacement. I am seriously thinking of going to just using an iPad. I'm afraid of there being something I can no longer do with the iPad that I did with MBA. I am retired and really use it for photos, emails, texting, games, etc. So, is there anyone out there who made the transition and regrets it? Appreciate any ideas and suggestions. Thanks, Teri

An iPad with a keyboard and perhaps mouse/trackpad is a great replacement for many users with routine light-duty needs. I usually recommend an iPad Air or Pro due to the USB-C connector which adds some versatility, but for the list of duties you described any iPad would do.
