May general meeting was great

Thanks to the executive for having another great Zoom meeting tonight. I have heard from a friend who belongs to another club and they are losing members because they aren't holding meetings. I believe we are still gaining new members in VMUG, and continuing to provide value to our members is surely the reason.

It was my first meeting in years and I was very happy to be there. I learned so much and will be attending future meetings. It's great to be back.

Excellent Meeting! Perhaps as a follow-up to the Telus and possible Shaw email changes coming we could have contact information for the the VMUG members who are available to hire to help or do the transfer over to one of the approved email options mentioned during the presentation.

I agree that Wednesday's meeting great. I have not been at a meeting in a long time due to a move and I don't want to drive back into town after a work day. I kept up with the membership as I believe in this group - even though I never attended and rarely use the forums. I hope to use the forums more in the future. I have no issues continuing on with my membership going forward even if I never attend a meeting. To the executive: Thank you for finding a way to continue with the meetings. After all, with all the technology we have, it is just a matter or a way. Take your bow.

We’re never going to fit our heads through the door when we can have physical meetings again!

But thank you, it really is a team effort with special thanks to Aitan who had a paid Zoom account already so we could get the virtual meetings up and running quickly. The club now has our own paid Zoom account for future General and SIG use, and we will certainly be thinking of ways to continue to reach out to members like you (thank you for your support) who can’t always come to physical meetings when we can start having them again.
