Restore Problem

MacBook Pro i7 8GB Ram OS High Sierra 1 TB HD 2010, video failure - replaced with MacBook Pro 2015 i7 16GBRam 1TB SSD OS Mojave using Time Machine backup for fresh instal onto 2015. Moved over my older 27" Apple Display from the 2010 PB. Most everything fell into place including user info, network and inherited backups. Have to hold at Mojave for now due to some work related software/files.

However have two problems to do with Photos.

Item One:
My original Desktop Photo appears but the Screen Saver reverted to the System - Landscapes. I re-selected the "Shifting tiles" option and then under Source I went to "Choose Folder" selecting Pictures from the SSD and all the 20 libraries I have are greyed out and cannot be selected. Yes my most recent library opens up fine in Photos app. I was using the PowePhotos App for managing these libraries on the previous computer so I opened it up on this new PB and selected the current library and it did its indexing but that did not resolve the problem. Any suggestions appreciated !

Item Two:
I was running Photo Stream nicely on the 2010 PB with OS High Sierra and now when I open Photos on the 2015 OS Mojave Photos library the "My Photo Stream" folder is not present. It is on my desktop computer running Big Sur and my older dying PB 2010 OS High Sierra just fine. Yes I have gone into Preferences/iCloud selected Photos and confirmed the check mark is in place on the 2015 problem machine. Any suggestions appreciated here also including hiring help if that's where this is at.

Happy to report Item One Resolved:
Photos now selected and showing up using Shifting Tiles on BOTH the laptop screen and 27" Apple Display.
Found you had to go to Photos program. Preferences/General Option
Then select the button to the right of "Show in Finder" and select the one "Use as System Photo Library" When I selected that one it turned greyed out. Seems it has to be greyed out to get the Photo Library to show as option in the area to select for Screen Saver. When I went back into Screen Saver it was listed for selection below "Find Folder" Please note this is in Mojave I am setting this up. Is not showing as this kind of option in my Big Sur machine at all. Guess things changed in the new OS.

Photo Stream question Item Two is sadly still not resolved on this computer :(

I can’t verify because I use icloud Photos on my newer machine now, but check in Photos’ own preferences and see if there is an option there somewhere for “Photo Stream.”

Chas you did it again !!!! Thanks for suggesting this in Photos. I checked into the Preferences and when I saw an iCloud tab beside General tab it took me to the missing screen to activate Photo Stream. File folder showing up again and photos are loading as I type this reply. Thank you again for this help.
