Time of day for preorders

When Apple announces a date for preorders on an new product (eg. July 8 for the new M2 MacBook Air), what time of day do the preorders actually start?
Is it just after midnight Pacific time or some later time of day? Have they been consistent with such timing on previous new products?

I should have looked on the Apple website! I see it states "5 am PDT"
