So I have a windows desktop computer, which isn’t really used , maybe movie or if I want to see one thing big(I have an iPhone and iPad)
So I found some thumb drives (usb sticks with photos. I plug my phone into the computer to transfer the photos, but it is not recognized . Is there a way to copy my photos? I’m sure one day I won’t have usb accessibility. Thanks

I am not clear if you are trying to get the photos from the thumb drive to the iPhone? Assuming that, one way I can think of to do it... (Maybe much simpler ways someone will suggest)

1. Plug thumb drive (probably USB-A ?) into the iPhone. You will likely need a USB-A to USB-C adapter assuming you have a relatively new iPhone.
2. Go to the Files app on the iPhone and "Browse" until you see your thumb drive. Click on that to select it.
3. Select a photo or multiple photos (Use the three dots at upper right to find "Select" and then tap each one)
4. Use the "Share" icon and scroll down to find "Save Image" or "Save 18 Images" (if you selected 18 photos for example.

They should end up in your Photos in the position in your Library according to the date info.

You need to download an install iTunes on your Windows PC. Once you have it installed, open it. THEN plug your iPhone into your PC and iTunes will see your iPhone and facilitate the sync of photos and whatever else you want to sync to the iPhone.

Once the material is on the iPhone, it will sync the pictures (et al) to iCloud, where your other Apple devices will automatically add them.

Thanks charles,
So i do have itunes. However it only shows me podcasts (not my library) or anything else. When i plug my phone into pc its not recognized. I do have one drive and they are all on there so perhaps this isn’t necessary unless get rid of one drive . Or is it best to store on external harddrive as i have an adapter. Does that make sense ?
