Trouble loading Malwarebytes on my new iPhone SE

This is my first iPhone (SE) and I'd like to load Malwarebytes on it. Every year I purchase several copies of Malwarebytes and store one away for the following year. This year I've loaded it on to my iMac and MacBook Pro with out any problems. But my iPhone is a different story. It seems the only way to load Malwarebytes on to my Phone is by going thru the Apps program. However I already paid for the program and don't need to purchase it. But the way the Apps program works it seems I must sign in and purchase at the time. I tried going to the website (on my iPhone) using Safari but cannot find a way to download my "license key" on the iPhone. When I click on iOS it sends me to the App Store and we have an endless loop...

I don't imagine I'm the only person who is loading their third licence Malwarebytes onto their iPhone. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue are very welcome. Cheers, David

You can’t run MalwareBytes on an iPhone. There’s no such product for iOS devices because security is handled by Apple.

Android, on the other hand ...

No need to load MWB! Gotta love my new iPhone SE! Next, an Apple Watch. I see the new SE Watch is out. I believe this is a replacement for the Series 5? When I visited the Apple Store and the Series 5 no longer appears to be available from there.
But the New SE and Series 6 are available and the SE has all the features I need. My only real decision is between a 40mm and 44mm. A little difficult to decide without seeing it on my wrist. I wonder if London Drugs or Best Buy would let try one on?

I can’t speak for other stores, but London Drugs has not been given any “try on” versions of the Watch for demos, and of course even if they had some they would no longer be offering demos of them due to the pandemic.

Broadly speaking, the 44mm is for typical men’s wrists, with the 40mm intended for slimmer wrists -- but of course exceptions abound

Hi Charles,
Thanks for your reply. I visited the watch counter at London Drugs on Quadra St and the chap told that the new iPhone SE does not work with any of the Apple Watches. Imagine my surprise.

I contacted Apple Watch and they said the Apple Watch SE is compatible with the iPhone SE. I don't know where he was getting his information from but there may have been compatibly issues with the first version.

The SE 40 mm comes in two versions: GPS only ($409) and GPS + Cellular ($469).
The watch chap at Tillicum said that that Apple Watches don't work on the Shaw Wi-fi cellular service that comes for free with Shaw Blue Curve. I've contacted Shaw but they were not able to answer whether the watches work on this service or not. I'll try again and perhaps reach someone who can answer if the watches work or not on this service. If is does work then the additional $60 is well worth it.

Cheers, David

I’ll speak to the Quadra store wrt the misinformation about the Apple Watch SE and the current iPhone SE. Perhaps the fellow thought you were referring to the original iPhone SE, in which case i believe he was correct.

As for Shaw Mobile and the Apple Watch with cellular, the fellow at Tillicum is correct — Shaw Mobile doesn’t support LTE Apple Watches at this time. No real reason has yet been given, though I have my themes about that.

Thanks for the information on Shaw and iPhone compatibility. This makes my decision easier and I feel confident in ordering the SE watch. Cheers, David
