VPN for use in USA

Hi, I will be traveling to the US for a month and would like to watch my Shaw BlueCurve TV on my MacBook while I'm there. Has anyone information or suggestions on using a VPN so Shaw thinks I'm still in Canada? Are there any suggestions for a reasonably priced VPN that I can use on a monthly package?
Thanks, all thoughts welcome.

With the caveat that this is could be a violation of your contract with Shaw so you might get into trouble if they find out, you can certainly use a VPN to set your location as being in Canada so you can access the service.

That said, my experience with VPNs is that most if not all of them really don’t have the speed to handle streaming video well. Expect buffering and general playback issues. You could check into one of the biggest names in the VPN space, NordVPN, or Windscribe which I have used (not for this purpose) to see if they can handle the speed required. Most VPNs bill by the month or year.

Thanks Charles. To be honest I had not thought about the legal part you mentioned. I was thinking it was something about country or websites not the supplier.
I’ll just have to get used to Fox news I guess.
I appreciate your insight.

There are other options in the US beyond Fox News, thank goodness!

You might try the CBC or CTV (et al) apps on your iPhone or iPad, perhaps they will work in the US.
