What are the wifi needs for a 350 participant Zoom?

I belong to an organization that moves their meetings to various locations around BC. It is about to try holding hybrid meetings. We anticipate there will be up to 350 people on Zoom. The meetings also involve using 12 breakout rooms for a few hours. What wifi standards do we need to establish for venues? If they are not available, is it possible to purchase an adequate wifi link for a weekend four times a year?

I’m a little confused about who will be where. It sounds like the 350 will be at their homes — will the presenters also be at their homes? Or all in a central place with a live audience?

if the latter, I would think you‘d want a fairly high uploade speed, but nothing out of the ordinary is required. Zoom “rebroadcasts” what you’re sending them, so the size of the zoom crowd isn’t really a concern … it’s the upload speed and camera you’re using. A good 1080p camera and 20mbps or higher upload out to be fine as far as presenting goes.

Thanks Charles. We will have most of the presenters at the in-person event with a couple on Zoom and up to 300 people in-person plus another up to 300, though more likely, 200 on Zoom. Thank you. I haven't known what to say to the people arranging facilities in terms of wifi needs.
