Bill Bothwell was the lucky winner (by default) of a WD MyPassport 1TB external hard drive drawn for at the January meeting.
VMUG Past President Dave Traynor, the original owner of the winning ticket, had to leave the meeting early and passed his tickets to Bill (it feels really weird to be writing about myself in the third person like this) who misunderstood Dave’s intentions and thought he was merely the caretaker of the tickets, when in fact Dave’s intention was to give the tickets to Bill and if one of them were drawn Bill would keep the prize. As Dave pointed out to me later he has enough external hard drives (he was the lucky winner of a 2TB external drive at the AGM/Xmas Party in December).
Congratulations Bill and “Thanks, Dave!!!”
You can never have enough external hard drives… =)
