IOS 14.3 not receiving JPEGs

Using an iPad Air 2, jpeg files received from a Windows O/S laptop by email are coming in as a winmail.dat file but on another person's iPad Air 2 using IOS 14.2, the phots are being received as the jpeg files they are. Does anybody know if this is a glitch in v14.3? No settings were personally changed.

Not sure, but I think I had a similar issue years ago. I think the sender can choose to send in a ‘compatible format’ somehow which makes it readierable.

There are apps on the App Store (free and paid) that will fix this for you, but the root cause is an Outlook user who’s using Rich Text Format instead of either HTML or plain text.
