I have a Western Digital My Book AV which my new Shaw/Rogers update just made obsolete! I used it to expand my TV recording capability. What else can I use it for?
Reformat it for Mac (or Windows) and use it as a backup drive. You could also move large Photos libraries onto it to reduce the space on your machine, but remember that things stored on an external backup drive aren't backed up by Time Machine.
Thank you Charles! How do I connect the SATA plug from the drive to my USB-C port on my iMac...is there a such an adapter? The drive has an external power plug so that should not be an issue. Thanks in advance...Dave
