Software update problem

In the App Store update page it shows a system Software Update that includes Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 6.17. HP Printer Software Update 3.1. iTunes 12.3.1. (It also used to include OS 10.11.1)

I have performed this update several times and it never seems to work. My iTunes version is still 12.3.0.44, I still have OS 10.11 (and I'm not sure about the HP Printer Software or the Digital Camera Raw Compatibility).

As I said I have done the update process through the App Store several times without success. In the screenshot below you can see that it is showing that the updates have been done but the About window in iTunes the version is still 12.3.0.44

How can I get these updates to actually update the software.

I think I'm probably going to have to call Apple on this one but if anyone has any suggestions I'd be grateful.

Terry, One thing you could try before calling and spending a lot of time with Apple...

Try logging in to a different user account and try the update from there. You will no doubt be prompted for your admin account credentials (unless the other user account is an admin type account) and probably sign into the App Store from there (with your usual account you use on the App store). It just might work from there.

Are you attempting to install the updates at the same time? What happens if you install them one at a time? Do they stick if you try it that way?

I tried installing things every which way but nothing worked. I ended up calling Apple. We reinstalled El Capitan and that took care of the OS 10.11.1 update. I then had to manually download iTunes 12.3.1. The App Store Updates pane is still saying I need to update Digital Camera RAW Compatibility to 6.17 and HP Printer Software to 3.1. even though it shows these items as installed in the last 30 days.

I'm not really concerned about these updates so I'm happy now.

The Digital RAW update button says to "restart" -- have you done that?

Many times. After a restart App Store still looks exactly like my screenshot.
