Charles, you posted: "There are certainly ways to record streaming audio off the web — I do so all the time to capture BBC radio dramas — but in this case the site does certainly seem to merit support (a very nice find!), so I’d encourage those who are interested to “bring the music with them” by either downloading the iPhone app",,,,or by buying the CDs"
We don't have a mobile device of any kind but we do have an old CD player. We don't want their prepared CD recordings, limiting ourselves to particular programs they've selected. All we need is a sample of their streaming that, while in the boondocks, away from civilization, we lull ourselves to sleep during a stormy night or relax, reading during a stormy day. Thus a protracted "catch" of their wonderful streaming, varied as it is without theme, is all we want. Before leaving on our trips we need only to record for a few hours whatever they're streaming.
So, given your recording of dramas, how do we do our recording of their varied and wonderful, instrumental music of so long ago? This is what we can't seem to find instructions for?
And thank you Dave for warning about possible violations here. We’ve got to look into this, of course.
