Recording a life stream possible?

Morining All: So there is this live streaming workshop on autism coming up in early June that I would love to watch, but of course I just can't sit most of the day and watch it live. After all, the reason I need to watch it is that I have a child with autism and it's near impossible to do anything for any amount of time in a row!! So, can one record this kind of thing and if so what's the best, easiest way that I can do it? Thanks Donna

The answer to this very, very much depends on what software they’re using for their presentation. if this is a zoom conference, you can record it (If you have a paid account) or the presenter can record it for you and make it available later or send it to you directly if necessary. We do something similar to that with our own presentations.

They might also consider making it available after the fact as a YouTube video with or without a password so that it’s not available to the general public.

if none of those options are available, you might be able to record part of your screen to capture just the presentation for yourself using QuickTime,

Here’s a video on how to do this, but ALWAYS GET PERMISSION FIRST. there could be legal ramifications if you share your recording with anyone else.
