Sorry.... post wrong message.
I would like to know how to unlink (I think this is the right word) the mailboxes on Marn's computer from those on my Computer.
If either of us thrashes an email from a mailbox it also trashes it on the other computer....

It sounds like you are using the same email address, so naturally the first step is one of you needs to get their own email address and transition their friends/contacts over to the new address. Because you have a domain, if we're talking about the domain's email addresses this is something you'll need to discuss with the domain/email provider.
