Updating Acrobat Reader prompts

Using el Capitan. Should I automatically update Acrobat Reader prompts. I seem to remember I shouldn't, but can't remember why. Thanks G

Unless you have a specific reason to use Reader, why not just delete it from your Mac entirely and just use Apple's own Preview instead?

Then you don't have to worry about the source or validity of such an update notice as you saw and you will probably find that Preview works perfectly for all your needs. And it will get updated by Apple via its secure methods without you even thinking about it.
