Adding animal to people (Faces) in Photo

Is it posible to add a picture of an animal (our cat) to People pictures in Photo so I can gather up all the cat pictures I have taken of the d... cat over the years?? Should be able to do this methinks - perhaps even that of a 1950 Prefect......
Was left on hold for 3/4 hour with Apple before they messaged me that no one was there to help me......

Yes, this should be possible.

Find a photo of the cat where the face is prominent, and mouse over (not clicking) the face. If a box appears around it, you'll have the opportunity to name the cat for tagging purposes, and from then on you'll probably get asked or see boxes around the cat's face in other photos.

Be aware that the face-recognition algorithm is tuned more for humans, so this may involve more "manual" tagging than would be the case with a person, but I certainly have been asked if an animal in a given picture is me (probably because we both have beards!), so there's likely to be a way to do this.
