Suggestions. I am in need of a new pair of AirPods. With looking at reviews, it seems that the preferred model is the 2nd generation.
I read that the MagSafe is convenient but slot slower. So AirPods 3 gen with lightning cable? AirPods Pro 2nd generation ?

I feel like the AirPods Pro have a lot of useful features not found in the regular AirPods, but it depends on whether those features are worth the extra cost to you.

As for MagSafe versus Lightning, I tend to charge mine in the evening (the MagSafe ones also have a Lightning port), so the speed of charging makes no difference whatsoever.

What you’re actually charging is the battery in the case, NOT the batteries in the AirPods.

I went out today and bought the AirPods 3. The are a lot bigger and for me not as comfortable as the AP2, but the sound is incredible. Costco,has a sale, $30 off. Bonus, Apple Music for 6 months and WOW, is that an experience!

Yes, I wish the regular AirPods included the silicon tips the AirPods Pro do.

Apple Music is pretty amazing -- pretty much every song ever recorded at your beck and call! I have the Apple One bundle so that's automatically part of it, along with Apple TV+ which I enjoy and Apple Arcade, which I only occasionally have any spare time to play, plus the iCloud storage I need for my photos.
