Clean up your desktop in 2017!

Thanks to some new features in recent releases of OS X, including the latest Sierra, you can finally stop storing everything "important" on your desktop (which, for a variety of reasons I'll save for the Novice SIG meetings, you should not be doing except [if you must] by aliases).
