Google popup message - Valid?

I just inputted a Google search for NIK (photography software) and up popped a box that has never ever shown up before given that the activity is not out of line with past practice.

The url looks legit but I am wary of proceeding further.
https://ipv4.google.com/sorry/index?con ... r6R36hMgFy

Apart from simply ignoring, is there a way of cross checking for validity?
Thank you
David

It could be legit, and trying to tell you that you may have some malware.

It could also be fake.

Check your bookmarks and make sure the IPV4 part is not part of the address. If you’re still getting redirected to ipv4.google.com, I would suspect malware.

Use Malware Yates (free) to check.

I hope I am not putting words into Chas' mouth but I think he was the victim of dictation gone wrong.

When he said to use "Malware Yates" I think what he spoke (and perhaps failed to proof read) was supposed to be "MalwareBytes"

Also the time stamp on his post was about 2 hours AFTER I was reading his post, so somewhere the clock is wrong.
