iPad 3 upgraded to iOS 9.3.5 All Pages documents gone

Upgraded iPad 3 to iOS 9.3.5. I don't think it will go higher. Having problems with Pages.

My old Pages documents appear to be in storage, but I can't open any of them. Pages is now a clean slate to make new documents.

In iCloud Drive it states none of my old documents can be opened until other devices are upgraded. IMac is now up to El Capitan and iPhone is on iOS 10, so not sure what to do.

Any suggestions?

After El Capitan upgrade problems.
IMac 24" Mid 2007
2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
Men 4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Updated to El Capitan early October 4 2016 from Mountain Lion after HD replaced by Soho.
HD was backed up to Time Capsule and OWC Mercury Elite Pro 2TB Ex. HD before El Capitan downloaded.
1. All Contacts have gone from the iMac - but appear to be on the iPad 3 after upgrading to iOS 9.35 and iPhone 6 after upgrading to iOS10.
2. Time Capsule will not back up - last backup Oct 4/16 and it appears there is nothing
on the time capsule. Back up seems to be there on the other external 2TB drive.
I have tried to choose Time Capsule as backup following directions from online but it is greyed out.

After IOS 9.3.5 upgrade on iPad 3 56.3 GB, 24 GB available

1. All Pages documents gone from iPad. Appear to be in iCloud/Manage documents, but cannot open them.
2.

I keep getting a message that the iMac has to be upgraded to El Capitan for me to access my notes/pages etc when Itry to access iCloud Drive. But the iMac has been upgraded from Mountain Lion to EC.

At least iWeb seems to be ok.

This is bigger than me Charles, not sure what to do next. I need an expert! G

I'm still wondering if your Pages documents are accessible to you on your iPhone which is on iOS 10, but you might want to take the machine in to Byte, explain the issue, and see what they have to say.

Cheers
Chas

The only Pages documents on the iPhone are those done on the iPhone. There is nothing on the iPhone from the iPad where all my main documents were. They are listed in iCloud Storage/Documents Data/ Pages 31.8 MB of them but I cannot access them. When I try to upgrade to iCloud Drive I get a note: You will not be able to access the documents currently stored in iCloud on the following devices until they are also upgraded to iOS8 or OSX Yosemite: Glenys's iMac. I have upgraded the iMac to EC.

I had the HD replaced by Soho. Do not want to go to Byte because of past problems. I will contact Soho then. G

I'm a little confused by this reply. Are you saying you cannot access your iCloud-stored Pages documents from within Pages on your iPhone? The message you're seeing has no bearing on your iPhone, so I'm wondering if you are trying to open iCloud-stored Pages documents *from within Pages* on your iPhone.

Charles - I had written a reply and saved it as a draft here but can't access it again to delete. I will reply on the iMac and can send screen shots to explain. Still having problems regarding the time capsule not backing up. Working with Soho on that but can't do anymore until Monday. I will wait until I get Time Capsule sorted and contact you again then with images.

Re the Pages problem with both the iPhone and iPad. Under Settings there is no Pages icon. Only under Apps on Home on both devices. I can only access the few documents on the iPad that I have made since the upgrade on Oct 4. I do not use Pages much on iPhone, but the old docs are there.

On the iMac ElC all the Pages documents are listed but I cannot access them there either.

When I go to Settings. - iCloud on both devices, again no Pages listed, but when I go to Storage in iCloud and then Manage Storage, Pages is listed there 31.8MB. When I go there they are all listed BUT I cannot access them (by tapping on them??? I have 23 GB available of 50 GB in iCloud. Perhaps the Time Capsule problem is causing this.

I will be in touch again shortly, after working with Soho re the Time Capsule. G. I hope my earlier draft does not come up also when I submit this.
