Latest iTunes version

On Alan's Tech Talk today I am sure I heard Alan and Aitan mention that we should be updating iTunes to version 12.9

I have iTunes version 12.8.0 on my 2017 iMac with the latest High Sierra version 10.13.6, but when I go to the Mac App store and look for updates, it tells me that there are no updates available.

Did I mis-hear the podcast or am I missing some other point?

No, I think someone either misquoted the version number or was running the Mojave beta.

I will stop worrying now that there is something wrong on my iMac preventing me from getting the latest update.
