I think a bit more info would be needed if one of the photo experts wishes to offer an idea.
How are you emailing the photos? What mail application, how are you getting the photo into the email or are you sharing from the Photos app etc.
Is there a Mac using person you can send them to in order to see if they experience the same thing?
