Remove multiple albums from My Music

I can remove albums from My Music one by one but I want to prune my collection. How can I remove multiple albums at a time?

I'm using the latest version of iTunes, and this is how it works for me:

1. Select an album (I have mind set on "album view" so this is a matter of clicking once on one of the album covers.

2. Holding the shift key, select as many other albums as you wish to purge.

3. Right-click on any one of them, choose "delete" (or press the delete key) and then confirm.
