Shaw won’t have any idea, since the iPad is proving that their equipment is functioning just fine. Try deleting the network from your Mac and adding it back in.

Settings -> Wi-FI -> press the “I” in a circle next to you network name.Tap “Forget This Network.” Then go back to the list of available networks, and rejoin your with the password used for that network.

The equivalent on a Mac is System Preferences > Network and click on the "Advanced..." button at the bottom. Then select your network from the list and hit the "-"button just below the list to remove your network and then click on "OK". To get your network back, again from System Preferences > Network go to the "Network Name" and select you network from the list that appears. Alternately if you have "Show Wi-Fi status in menu bar" checked on this screen you could just go up to the wifi icon at top right in the menu bar and select your network there (under "Other Networks".

REMEMBER - before you take these steps to forget your network, make sure you know your wi-fi network password because you will need it to get back in.

Thanks so much for your help Chas and Dave...however, I still can't open shaw blue curve tv on my iMac...it had always worked before and it works on my iPad and iPhone. At my wits end!

Looks like an issue with the latest version of Safari (Note he corrected himself in that he has macOS 11.6 and not 11.8

This is why I often suggest keeping a secondary browser available for testing (NOT CHROME). Until it gets fixed in Safari, try Firefox or Edge or Brave, et al and see if it works with any of those.
