Hi folks,
Anyone experiencing problems with ejecting external harddrives since upgrading to El Capitan, other than me?
With each hard drive, a pop-up window warns that one or more programs may be using the hard drive thus preventing it from being ejected. I've checked and there are no programs using the hard drive. The only way I can eject external hard drives is to use "force quit" which, of course, I'm warned may result in damage either to the disk or to the information on it. The only other option appears to be to shut down my laptop and then eject the hard drive, which strikes me as overkill and a significant time waster.
I've searched on line and found no clear answers to this problem, just several people complaining of the same issue.
I'm running on a mid-2012 MCP.
Appreciate any assistance. Thanks!
