iCloud/PayPal scam?

This the third day in a row I’ve received a message from iCloud/Apple.com asking me to update my payment information in PayPal because a charge (storage) could not be processed. I’ve made no change in PayPal. The sender’s address certainly looks legit (do_not_reply@email.Apple.com) but it feels like a scam. Thoughts?

You could always log into PayPal directly and look at your account info there. You didn't say whether you "message from iCloud/Apple" was an email or text but in any case I certainly wouldn't follow any links there if supplied. Alternately you could probably phone Apple.

The message was via email. I won't click any links but proceed via PayPal where there was no indication of a problem. Thanks

PayPal will show you what payments you’ve made recently. If there aren’t any from Apple, you can check your Apple ID from (on a Mac) System Preference -> [Your Name] -> Apple ID or (on a mobile device) Settings -> [Your Name] -> Payment and Shipping.
