Hello All: Question for you. Can one have a US itunes acct as well as a Canadian acct? I find every once in awhile that I can't get certain tv shows from the Canadian site, but they are available on the US site. I record seasons and it never fails but one or two episodes don't record for some reason and I'm searching for those misssing ones. This time it was American Crime season 2 but it's not on the Canadian site at all, they only show season 1. What would it take to get an account down south? Thanks all Donna

It is possible: I have both. Of course, I lived in the United States before I moved here, so that explains why.

To create a US account, you will need a US address and a card or bank account in the US. You might be able to get around the need for a US bank account or credit card by going to the US and purchasing iTunes gift cards, but iTunes gift cards purchased here in Canada will not work with the US account.

I should mention that it is also kind of a pain switching between stores in order to upgrade apps if you purchase in both stores, but that doesn’t seem to be your purpose.

Thanks Charles appreciate the info. I do have access to a US address my sister has a US address that I have used to buy other things and I could get her to pick me up an iTunes card while she's down there then I just set up a completely new US account on the Mac as I did with the Canadian account correct? I'll only likely use it to buy maybe a movie or a TV show on occasion don't have too much to do with apps. But as you mentioned I would have to be in the Canadian account to upgrade those and then go out and go back into the US account and upgrade those probably won't have to do that often. Thanks again I just may give it a try.

Yes. To switch between "stores" on a Mac:
1. From the main page of the iTunes store, scroll all the way down to the very bottom of the page. There you will see a Canadian flag icon.
2. Click on it.
3. You will then be offered a chance to switch stores. Pick the US store.
4. You can PERUSE the US store without signing in, but if you want to buy something you must sign in with your US account.
5. Same procedure for going back to the Canadian store.
