Even though I can not even come close to justifying buying an Apple silicon iMac, the temptation is still there.
Of course, Apple has yet to announce the Apple silicon version of the 27” iMac but it might come in the first half of this year, either as a 27” model or perhaps with an even bigger display. But the price will almost surely be WAY beyond what I should think of spending. So I have been wondering what it would be like to live with the existing Apple silicon 24” iMacs.
Supply has been really constrained. I have never seen a display model at any London Drugs I visit. But today I was in Staples and they had one on display. So I whipped out my paper IKEA tape measure and recorded the actual active screen dimensions. I have now transferred that to my 27” iMac and might see what it is like to live within those constraints for awhile.
Of course the bigger iMac may offer other temptations when it is announced…
