My Favourite Keyboard Shortcuts

Everybody has favourite keyboard shortcuts that they depend on, like command-c to copy, or command-v to paste. My favourite has to be command-tab to quickly switch between open applications.

Did you know that by holding down the command key and repeatedly pressing tab, the highlighted application will switch to the next.

Super-user tip: holding down the command key and pressing "Q" while an application is highlighted will quit that program.

I'm very fond of the functionality of the space bar. In long web pages/messages/emails, hitting the space bar will take you down a "page," while when watching a video or listening to iTunes, the space bar serves as a "play/pause" control. And don't even get me started on how useful the space bar is when writing!

And hitting the space bar to view things you have put into Trash, without having to drag them out of the Trash to open some other way.

That is just awesome!
