How can I get rid of the App..... "Open Any File"
At 24 years of using a Mac this is not something I need - want or use.

Is there some reason you can’t simply drag it to the trash and empty the trash ... the standard uninstall procedure?

That is the usual procedure, however it is not in my Applications or Utilities folders. So I thought there must be a little trick to dumping the app. Using "Search" if found the app on my external backup disk..... Library/Application Support/Malwarebytes/MBAM/Quarantine/Open Any File.
What is rather a mystery is the "Search" did not show the app being in my Library of my Mac internal hard drive.
I did ferret it out by physically looking and following the hierarchy above. All very strange.
At any rate I am going to trash the file on my HD and keep it on the external Carbon Copy Clone drive.... (for awhile )
I am curious as to which upgrade put this app in the computer? I don't like Apple dumping apps in my computer without notification.

It's been removed by your system by MalwareBytes because it is malware. In order to be sure it is properly removed, use MalwareBytes to remove it.
