video's to photos

Hi All: Question for you. How do you get a utube video from mail in mac to photos. A family member made a video of her daughters past birthdays to celebrate the big 15. I recieved a copy in mail but would like to get it into photos so it's safe somewhere. Can this be done? Tried dragging it in from mail and desktop but no go, and now I don't see a similar "save to iPhoto" choice that was there before photos came. Thanks everyone. Donna

When I right-click on a video in Mail on my Mac, I get the option to save it. There's also a "Share" option that lets me add it directly to Photos.

Hi Chas: Yes it should be that easy but that choice doesn't come up for me. When I right click on the video, no save option comes up but a menu does with one of the choices being share, and a bunch more I don't even understand! so I click on that and up comes a window named extensions, it has a list of choices? on mine the ones checked and with blue boxes are notes, reminders, Facebook, and add to photos. The top three on the list being mail messages and airdrop are not ticked and aren't blue. I tried clicking on the add to photos but nothing happens. So I don't know why I don't have the simple one step save choice on this thing. Donna,

"Extensions" suggest you are talking about an iOS device ... is that the case?

A screenshot or a clearer explanation would be really helpful.
